All dentists at the practice adheres to the rules governing the profession by following the guidance provided from the General Dental Council, Maintaining Standards. All dentists are registered with the 'GDC', their registration numbers are as follows:

Roy D. Patel - Principal and Clinical Director

 Roy Patel qualified at the Royal Dental Hospital, Leicester Square, London.

He has a Masters of Law degree in 'Legal aspect of medical practice'.
After various hospital positions, he was an academic and clinical lecturer at Royal Dental Hospital, Leicester Square and Guys hospital teaching undergraduate students.
He currently gives academic and clinical courses and holds a clinic at the Basingstoke Hospital where he is a Specialist Doctor.
He is a specialist in Prosthodontics (anything artificial in the mouth - dentures, bridges, implants etc). Accredited by the G.D.C.
His interests are Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Outside of work he enjoys all sports where a ball and racket are involved! His favourites are golf, cricket, squash and tennis. He is a keen skier.
You'll also see him out and about dog walking and enjoying the countryside.

Abigail Dundas
B.D.S. (U.Lond.) MFDS RCS (Eng.) DPDS (Bristol)

Abi Dundas qualified from the Royal London Hospital in 1998. After hospital posts in restorative dentistry, she went on to take her fellowship exams for the Royal College of Surgeons.
She has been at Cedar Dental Care since May 2002. In this time she has continued to advance her clinical skills, having recently completed her diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies from Bristol University, where she was awarded the Marsh Midda prize for outstanding academic achievement in Periodontology. She is an accredited examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons and she has also had two children along the way!
Her interests are in all aspects of dentistry, but particularly complex restorative cases and very nervous patients. She is always advancing her skills to provide the most up to date care for her patients.
When she is not at the practice, she is busy taking care of her two girls, in the garden or walking her dogs.

Russell Cadwallader

Russell qualified at Barts and The London school of Medicine and dentistry and followed this with a DFT position in Plymouth.

His hobbies are Olympic weight lifting and rugby and he is a keen guitarist.

Growing up in Cornwall, Russell enjoys returning to see his family and cocker spaniel and spending time in the country side, either walking coast paths or at local beaches with friends. 

Gaurav Obhrai

Gaurav Obhrai qualified at St Bart's and The London Hospital and undertook his vocation at the Oxford Deanery.

Since completing his degree Rav has taken a special interest in the field of aesthetic dentistry, to include teeth whitening and composite bonding. He spent some time in New York to further his interest in INVISALIGN dentisty.

He values caring for all his patients at the same exceptionally high standard. Advancing his understanding and knowledge in restorative, cosmetic and general dentistry.

With the aid of magnification loops Rav can treat complex root canal procedures.

Since 2021, Rav appraises dentists throughout the Thames Valley for Health Education England.

Now living in Newbury with his wife, two young boys and two dogs. He enjoys spending his spare time at the gym or on walks in the countryside.

Jacob D'Souza-  Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Jacob D’Souza undertook his Oral and Maxillofacial training from the Mersey Deanery, Liverpool and his Head and Neck Fellowship in Sydney, Australia.

He has publications in peer-reviewed journals and is actively involved in training of under-graduate students. He regularly participates in national and international conferences to keep up-to-date in the practise of evidence based medicine.

His Publications in peer-reviewed journals in the area of:

  • Cancer and reconstruction
  • Hyperbaric oxygen in the management of radiation – inducted necrosis of the jaws
  • Sentinel-node biopsy for squamous cell carcinoma of the skin
  • Outcomes in cancer patients

Jacob enjoys sports, listening to music and gardening and keeps fit with regular exercise.


Gursharan Minhas - Consultant and Specialist in Orthodontics

Miss Gursharan Minhas









Gursharan Minhas qualified at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospitals' school of Medicine and Dentistry in 1998 and undertook three-years of orthodontic specialist training at Guy's & Kings Hospital from 2001 to 2004. This was followed by a further 2 years of senior registrar training at The Royal Surrey and Eastman Dental Hospitals to accredit as an NHS consultant.

Gursharan has been working as an NHS Consultant Orthodontist at the Royal Surrey County Hospital Foundation Trust since 2007.  She also holds a degree in Psychology, an area in which she holds a special interest.

She has been an Orthodontic Specialist for over 14 years and has treated many adults and children, from cases requiring simple alignment to severe jaw discrepancies requiring more complex care. She is keen to use the latest materials and techniques, keeping up to date with innovations and evidence based research.Her personal commitment is to provide high quality care for all her patients in a relaxed and friendly environment. Gursharan is involved in teaching, training and examining orthodontic trainees and supervising their research compenent.

Outside of work she is a keen runner and loves trekking and travelling. She has completed a number of marathons and trekked to the Uhuru summit on Mount Kilimanjaro & reached Everest Base Camp, in aid of charity.  She has also worked as a volunteer Dentist in Romania and as part of a scientific expedition to Mongolia. She regularly practices Asthanga yoga, which balances her passion for a practice requiring stamina as well as achieving peace in mind. Gursharan is a trustee for The Water Tap Foundation, a UK registered charity, with projects currently focused in Malawi.

Nazia Din- Oral Surgery

Nazia Din qualified at King's College London and since then she’s built up her experience working for many years in maxillofacial surgery, dealing with all types of facial injuries. She obtained a distinction in a Master's degree in Primary Dental Care in 2016, as well as being awarded her Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) by Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow.

Nazia is currently training towards a career in oral and maxillofacial surgery, having completed her medical degree, also from King's College London.  In her spare time, she loves to travel, ski and attends a crossfit gym. 





Anish Patel B.D.S Newcastle - MSc Advanced Restorative General Dental Practice


Anish graduated from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyrne in 1995. He completed his Vocational Training in Gateshead before working in general practice in Cardiff and Reading for several years. He has been involved in clinical research for denture fixatives and dry mouths. He has a particular interest in treating patients for the relief of pain. He enjoys using the latest materials and digital technology to complement his style of cosmetic work. He has been formally trained as a dental appraiser and is very keen to constantly keep his skills and knowledge updated.

Anish has recently completed his Master of Scicences in Advanced Restorative General Dental Practice from the University of Aberdeen in 2022.
